Operation “Britteny Sage Lindt”

Saving Lives and Making our Family Lakes Safe

The Britteny Sage Lindt Fund, a non-profit corporation, created to address and initiate change to the inadequate laws of our inland lakes. Also to work towards reducing the number of people killed each year by drunk drivers, through awareness and stiffer penalties for drunk drivers. We are also involved with helping to reduce the drug problems that exist in our schools and communities. Our mission, put simply, is to Save Lives!

Operation Britteny Sage Lindt is a comprehensive campaign to raise awareness and to enact changes to the laws regulating alcohol use and abuse and unsafe watercraft & motor vehicle operation.
Our personal goal is to ensure that  NO other family has to endure the immense pain from loss of life due to drunk and/or radical watercraft operation.

Proposed laws and changes to existing laws for presentation include(but not limited to) the following:

  1. Mandatory passing of a watercraft operation safety class to obtain a watercraft operation license for ALL watercraft operators.
  2. Revamp and enforce updated water safety codes that protect skiers, boarders and tubes.
  3. Create a safety program that adds the number of Parks & Wildlife patrol boats to keep the families in our communities safe on the water, and the drunk and radical drivers off the water.
  4. Require liability insurance limits on watercraft consistent with those on automobiles.
  5. Enact a mandatory minimum 20-year prison sentence for Intoxicated Manslaughter. The current law is 2 to 20 years, and with no priors, an offender may actually walk without jail time. This  will encourage people to maintain a designated driver.

Much of the needed manpower and equipment can subsequently be self-funded through watercraft safety class registration and license fees and fines from unsafe operation.  However, your support is greatly needed to kick start this great cause.  We have a long and difficult road ahead and we struggle with each and every moment spent working on this campaign.

Please help us to honor our daughter by enacting these changes to save lives and heartache of other families in the future for generations to come.
